Get to know Mike...
Mike is a third year drum major for Fusion. 2017 marks his first season as head drum major for the corps. Before drum major, Mike played in the tuba section. Mike studies European History and Music Education at West Chester University. As well as playing the tuba, he also studies the saxophone and teaches the woodwind section of the Boyertown Area Senior High Marching Unit. Mike likes to model his conducting after Andrew Yozviak and continues to see him as a mentor. He is very excited to begin working with all leaders of the corps for the 2017 Summer season.

Get to know Kyle...
This is Kyle’s third year with Fusion, and his second year as the assistant drum major. His first year, Kyle marched in the trumpet section for Fusion’s 2015 season. He was previously the drum major of the Morris Knolls High School Marching Band for its 2014 and 2015 seasons. He has attended the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy in 2014 and 2015, at both Kutztown University and the University of Massachusetts. Currently, Kyle is attending the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Primarily, Kyle is a clarinet player. He marched this instrument in the University of Massachusetts Minutemen Marching Band for its 2016 season.

Get to know Nafis...
Our newest addition as assistant drum major, Nafis will be entering his sixth year with the Core. He has performed in several sections of the horn line, marching trumpet in 2008-2009, mellophone in 2010, and returning to the Core in 2015 and 2016 on tuba. He is currently a graduating senior at the New Jersey Institute of Technology as a mechanical engineering major. This past fall, Nafis completed his first season as a marching instructor with the Watchung Hills Regional High School’s Marching Warriors and currently volunteers as a mentor for Rahway High School’s robotics team.
